SC Nebraska | Without going into details, our daughter has had numerous surgeries in her 2 years of life. One was open heart surgery. No complications through any of the 10+ surgeries. The Dr.'s and surgeons in our lives have been a true blessing. She is now a relatively healthy and extremely happy 2 year old, and without the surgeries she wouldn't have lived. It is always a little nerve wracking, but i just always remembered no matter the outcome, we felt we ultimately didn't have a choice on whether to do the surgery or not. It is to sustain/improve the child's life, end of story.
Will pray for you, just keep in mind that many, many people have been down the same path as you, including me and my wife. Keep your chin up and don't be afraid to discuss your feelings/emotions with people. This was very difficult for me, but ultimately learned that I needed to do it. | |
