roaming | yes, you can combine on WAAS with the Pro700; I assume you have a 372?
If you already know the FM1000, then you'll have a learning curve with the 700. It doesn't mean either one is more or less easy to operate. The 700 has more customizable run screens and shallower navigation (fewer options/menus). Trimble's history as a guidance company is apparent in the FM1000 user interface, in my opinion.
