King City, Mo | That is interesting.....I am no soil master.....I have a lot to learn. My dad did t use to fertilize beans, then he did and then we got into a liming kick.
The realization of not being able to buy more land or cash rent that is u feasible has pushed me to trying to do more with what I got. The land I own I don't have trouble pouring a lot of fertilizer on.
Last year we applied a 10-50-80 and harvested 15-20bu beans. This year we went back this with 10-50-80-10s is building the soil, and making my pocket book cry till wheat harvest..
We are all looking for that silver bullet that will propel our yields to the next level without breaking the bank. I mean if it took $1400/ac to raise 100bu beans I wouldn't wanna do that across the farm...
I just want to keep learning and evaluate what I am doing to see if I can improve. | |
