Lol. We're posting at the same time and it's confusing. If the whole drive is unallocated it's not going to let you install. Deleting partitions or creating partitions on this drive will not affect the ability to use the other drive. Totally unrelated.
You do need at least one partition. Then that partition needs to be formatted to NTFS.
