| Getting in to working on computers is like getting in to working on anything else. Right now I'm trying to get in to reloading and I keep putting it on hold because there is so much to learn and sooo many tools to buy and I'm not sure which ones to buy.
Fortunately for computers, a lot of the good ones are free.
KillDisk or DBAN to clear your disk completely.
ImgBurn (and a few alternatives that I can't remember now) for burning images to recordable media so that media is bootable
Linux install CD so you can use GParted to partition a drive since Windows doesn't do a great job (really only for situations where you want to do a complex install of multiple operating systems).
Free anti-virus programs.
Etc. once you get what you need and understand it you can do anything quickly. However, getting everything and making it work the first time is daunting.
