Central Missouri | The original question was this ..... What are the best over crops to increase P & K aviable to soybeans?
That question has nothing to do with manufacturing or mining. It has to do with making what is in the soil available. The cover crops I listed all have documented data for making P and K more available. I'll try to find some of my slides.
I have a slide from Mike Plumer That shows P soil test went from 21ppm to 71 ppm after 4 years of annual ryegrass; K went from 122 - 261 vs no cover crop where the soil test stayed the same. I'm looking at the slide but can't figure out how to attatch it. This fertility was brought from down deep and placed in the soil test zone by the ryegrass.
