Subject: RE: Hard drive cloning Windows 7 ?

Sorry for lack of clarity had to take pictures of screen as I don't have a screen capture program installed yet.

Pic 1

I'm using this SATA adapter cable that powers and connects the 2nd drive via USB

The first screenshot shows the Dell partitions on the drive in the computer under disk management screen

Drive 0 is the drive in the computer

Drive 1 is the 2nd drive I want to clone too

Drive 2 is just a USB flash drive I was copying diagnostic reports onto.

Pic 3

is where you chose the source drive and all are click-able.

Pic 4

However when going to the destination drive in the next step no drives are click-able.

Edit:

I removed the Acronis software after checking the new computers hard drive. It is also a Seagate and I am trying to clone to a Seagate drive. I installed the free program I had gotten before when I had the drive problem on this XP computer. It is only useable when dealing with 2 Seagate Drives.  It too stops working when I reach the point of selecting the destination drive.

Sure is aggravating to say the least !
