I will try to answer your questions

1. How many times have we read here the refuge outyielded the traited corn?

Many times. However, on our farm our experience has been different. One year the refuge within the circle yielded 40ish bu/ac less than the Bt corn. We were stunned. So we plant as much Bt corn as is allowed.

2. Why in the world would plant traited corn?

On our farm many times we used to have corn sawed off at the ground from southwestern corn borers. It could be so bad that areas were unharvestable.
Earworm protection from pro and viptera genetics. It stops earworm on our farm which also leads to less risk of alfatoxin
Reduced risk from drought via droughtgard corn

Realize Ed, I have no problem with people planting non-gmo corn. I have a problem when someone tells me I should be planting only non-gmo corn and that someone has no frame of reference.

3. If you are using insecticide, why in the world would you pay the extra money for traited rootworm corn?

We do not have rootworm problems in our area so I have no answer. I would bet that they are unable to have complete control with insecticide or rootworm Bt and the combination is the least risky.

4. why glyphosate was found in non GMO corn in bins? In manure?

I do not know. However finding it and it being a problem are two different things.

Realize Ed that many farmers are using these tools to benefit their operations. Our farm is a prime example. My primary complaint is that your viewpoint (anti-gmo anti-roundup) by extension is that the american farmer is a poor steward of the land because of their use of gmo's and roundup. I hole-heartedly disagree with that viewpoint
