SC Kansas - Hutchinson
Reasons to plant GMO

1. Corn borer control
2. Corn Rootworm Control
3. Soybean weed control
4. Soybean yield
5. Canola weed control (grass weeds in wheat rotation)
6. Crop safety of roundup
7. Alfalfa weed control
8. Cotton weed control
9. Corn earworm control

many more but thats a start

To test for roundup resistant weeds on the farm.

1. Spray with roundup
2. Observe if all the weeds die

The logic is if you do not spray roundup you cannot perform the test for roundup resistance. You likely have roundup resistant weeds but it was a great observation.

Ive now watched this forum for a while. In my opinion many of your posts have the tone that farmers using gmo's and roundup are not being good stewards of the land. I don't believe that. From what I observe the american farmer by in large is doing an excellent job of being a steward of the land. I can tell from your posts that you are an excellent steward of the land. You are free to plant whatever you want and husband the crop as you please. Im sure you are doing a very good job. However, I refuse to sit silent and allow your viewpoint to go unquestioned because your viewpoint by extension seems to be that the american farmer is a poor steward of the land because of their use of gmo's and roundup.
