Subject: RE: just for kicks, had hog manure tested for glyphosate

There could be several avenues for glyphosate to enter the manure other than through the feed or water. Maybe someone sprayed grass or weeds with a hand sprayer around the hog buildings with roundup and some drifted in, or even around the pumping equipment if it was sitting somewhere else. Or if the buildings are located close to a field, spray drift could have deposited some glyphosate in or on the building as well or someone could have had some residue on their gloves or clothes when working in the hog shed or on the manure equipment. Or a feed delivery truck or grinder or livestock trailer could have been subject to spray drift at a different location and carried it in. Sounds like more investigation will be needed to get to the bottom of this.
