I don't have a lot of advice to offer on auctions, etc. I'd find a financial planner or tax person that I trust and take their advice, knowing that anything you do will likely have consequences for your survivors. A finance pro can help you avoid the worst of them.
The only thing I wanted to offer advice-wise is this: you're not dumb for considering no treatment. Chemo and radiation therapy are hellish things to go through, and I personally don't blame anyone who chooses not to go through them. Lost my mom a couple years ago to colon cancer; she opted not to treat it, since it was late-stage when she was diagnosed. I didn't blame her a bit, and still don't.
