Cory, I've been wanting to submit that same question for several weeks.
We are thinking of building a house & a shop this summer & are considering SIP's
Talked to a fella that used them to build a house ( outside walls only ). He is very happy.
Says it is the quietest & tightest house he has ever owned. Very easy to heat .
Talked to another guy that built a 50 X 60 X 18 shop using them in the side walls also.
Went to look at that one. Very impressive. Same response, very tight & easy to heat.
Only draw back I can see is they have to sit on a concrete foundation, which you
would on a house anyway, most likely, but maybe not for a shop. Only other thing might be
price, & maybe considering the savings in labor, it might not be that bad.
We are in the pricing stage, so don't have all that figured out yet.
Thanks for poseing the question. Hope you get some good response.
Would like to know what you decide to do .
