Subject: RE: Anybody Running CIH SDX Single Disk Air Drills

N,E. Kansas
We have ran a 1850 for several years and it has served us well, some of the aforementioned problems of seed slot smearing with worn blades can be helped with R.I.D. gauge wheel tires. These drills can also be used in a pinch in conventional tillage , 10 in. spacing will work better than 7.5 inch. When we demoed the SDX we spent alot of time trying to adjust it for some worked ground, it just flat could not be done in our conditions. However in the notill it was an equal to the 1850 with some features I really liked. If I knew we would never need to plant worked ground again I would consider the SDX very seriously, but think I would stick with the John Deere cart. Good luck!
