Subject: extending booms revisited... or boom buster nozzles?

Bartlett TX
I was reading the earlier posts about extending booms and got to thinking.... Only for 1500 acres of wheat per year i would like to have a wider boom for applying fungicide at flag leaf. Wider boom leads to less wheat run over with the tires. I have 90ft booms, but would like to add 10 to 15ft to each side. Was planning on using simple aluminum square tubing bolted on the existing boom. I would be very careful to stay away from the edges and keep it outta the ground to keep from breaking something. But then i saw those boom buster or extender nozzles. Could put them in the plumbing for the fence row nozzles??? Has anyone tried this?
