Freightliner Air Ride?

Subject: Freightliner Air Ride?



Flandreau, SD

On a Freight airride you got the two leafs that run from front to behind the axle and the airbag is on that.  On top of axle you have a "stabilizer" bar? 

Is that bar to keep the truck level going around a corner as in a stabilizer or is it to keep the axle located in place and is acting as a link in the suspension?

I am makeing a off road truck and if I don't need it, it would be easier to not use it.  And no it is not as easy as just drilling the two new holes and bolting it back on, it would be making a drop frame to bolt the stabilizer too.
