If thats the way Deere treats you, why are you even looking at a Deere????? You are doing just what they want you to do, come to them and beg them to sell you something.

A few years ago we bought a new combine. Our combine dealers are green and red here. Wanted brand new machine. Red said OK here is machines I can get, corn heads I can get and flex heads I can get. All priced. Man said mix and match what sizes and we will add it up. Deere said we want to sell you a 200 hour machine with this head and this flex. I said no I want new. Since 1977 we have owned 3 Deere combines and 5 articulated Deeres, Deere took 8 days to get back to me with a 200hr combine price. Red took less than 24 HOURS. Bought the red machine and after we bought it the green salesman came back with a higher up and asked, "How much do we have to cut the price in order for you to change your mind? We do not want to lose you as a customer." Two sentences I will never forget......... I said " Nothing, as you both had equal chances as I told both companies I will not dicker on price, each gets only one chance. I gave my OK to the IH man and I will not go back on my word." Since that time we have bought a STX- 450 quad that we gave back for a STX-500 tired and just ordered a new 1250 CaseIH corn planter.

Sorry for the rant but it still bothers me Deere can be that arrogant to me.

Disclaimer Both red and green parts people and service people are great. I enjoy spending my money with both serice and parts counters.
