West Union, IOWA FLOLO Farm 52175 | Oliver, I was going to state something like that as it was on my mind but I had to run for a meeting and I already got interupted 3 times while typing so I'd say thanks for bringing that point up,but I will add that I went to alot of farm sales in the 80's as I was just joining the family operation in that time frame and remember alot of problems getting blamed on the blue "farm sale markers" as some refered to them yet I'll agree with you as alot of small farme dependent companies went out of biz in that time frame.
With said when I was dairying with my Dad, we swore we couldv'e fed our heard just what my brother wasted in is bunker, yet I've been to some very well managed bunkers that with the right management they could have competed with what we wasted quality wise. I'm not afraid to say in all the years we fed cow/cattle not even a wheel barrow of feed went straight from storage to the manure spreader it all stopped in the cows mouth first. My brother on the other hand had a pile by the bunker that they hauled I'd say easily a manure speader a week.....
That's why in my original post I tried to refer that you can't blame the tool blame the user--loran |
