There is a small company in Lewiston Idaho that assembles Cross-Slot drills using Cross-Slot openers and their locally designed frames and air boxes that are used in this area. They also make the air boxes pictured on a JD 1890 or two in these pictures. http://www.agproinc.com/crossslot.htm
Dragging around a separate air commodity box can be a problem on steep hillsides.
I think Gates assembles Cross-Slot drills in North Dakota.
