Carter Montana | Durum has extra risk for me as it would be grown on ground that does not have a proven yield and thus would be subject to T yield's though I know it will do fine in a normal year. The price discovery on Durum is poor for crop insurance and Pasta graders have a fit at anything under 58 lbs. That being said I may still grow some for PM just to stay in the program, but I can't say I've gotten the signal from them (in terms of contract price) that they want it yet. | |
