Little River, TX

Chimel must have had some classic thoughts, to stir the pot from people from the area.
Fortunately for my digestion all I see is You have chosen to ignore this poster

Irregardlessly I enjoyed JohnW's dramatic picture of the area.  ( Irregardlessly is a  humorous redundancy )
Possibly along these lines 35 years ago an AF Buddy & I drove down to look at this farm. Along the way we drove through Hill County and he remarked abut the terraces in the fields. I explained how those served a dual function, prevented soil erosion and keep the moisture in the field where it does some good.
He came back that in the Tennessee Hills they farmed anything that the tractor would not slide down or roll over, with no soil erosion, period.
This makes the statement that equipment that are made for Ill In Noise just will not work on a 30% slope, even more profound.
