northern MN | I was a little upset when I wrote last nights responce to this but. Through all the posts one thing is clear it will take hard work and thinking outside the box.
I do suggest working for an mid to elderly farmer that has no apperant heirs, he is probably wondering who will take his over. Bottom line is you need to prove worthy of someone investing in you. If you think that you will work with Dad and add to his, while that is how most start that takes time and maybe dad wasnt aggressive. I wouldnt recomend this route unless your father has been sucsessful enough to bring you in . Best thing that happened to me was working for IH and learning how sucsessful farms thought, I found out my Dad was not the smartest man alive. He was still the best though. |
