Years ago I and several others used to ride along with a GM/Chrysler dealer to the car auction in Omaha. If he bought cars we would drive them home for him. At that time he would stand alongside of where the cars were moving through the line and bid, I think the bidding was only about two minutes per car.

As I understand it now a lot of these auctions are over the Internet and the bidding is still very fast. You need to have picked the cars you want to bid on and keep your ducks in order.
