Subject: Re: Shelterbelt dying

More then likly drought. Here in Nebraska the same things are happening. Im trying to water tree as muuch as I can to save them. Lots off pasture is not even there any more it is dead to an will have to be reseeded. If people arnt watering there trees soon they will be dead this summer. Theres no reserve moisture left. Was by my local cemetary tonight. Id say over half off the grass is dead an gone just bare ground. Old timers have said they havent seen that ever. If it stays this dry all summer it will be very bad. we have irrigation here but with out some moisture its a losing battle.
