Subject: RE: Pipe line easement

Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

Two counts surprise me:  only 7" deep, and they've allowed trees to obscure aerial view of their easement.   A pipeline crosses us and a couple of years ago, the company aggressively cleared all the timber and fencelines the entire length of the line so the plane could get a visual on the whole thing.   7" is shallow enough to present problems with normal pre-pipeline use of the land.....even planting could be a little nerve-wracking.  I think there is usually a company contact number on the line posts along the route; can you give them a call and try to work thru your concerns and possibly get the issue resolved?  Good luck!
