The little planes that fly the pipelines can drop a world of leaflets on you if the dozer gets a little close.


We have a guy that flys a small blue helicopter, that's all he does, watches for dozers, trackhoes ect around pipelines, fiber optic and whatever. If your working and do not call in the 811 number. he will write you up. Just about to the point if you crank up your dozer, you better have a work order or you will fined. There is an area just north of me thats watched via live satellite. If you just stop your truck and lowboy with equipment anywhere close to their lines. Someone will be talking to you very shortly. Lots of pipelines in my area. Almost too many.

Pipelines want their right of way clean. I would ask them to clean it first. But most importantly, CALL IT IN. Sometimes they will want to know how much your equipment weights also.
