Near-north Ontario, French River
hmm if you had said the trees on the north side were dying I would have guess 'north west' disease.......... well its not really a disease,, trees( particularly conifers) get dehydrated by prevailing winds in the winter, that couple with a strong summer drought can kill a hedge row in single year. Whats your prevailing wind? Is the soil different in the dead areas compared to the healthy areas? ie. Where they are dead would they be more susceptible to drought stresses? Maybe you have south-west disease?
