Do an oil analysis on it. Hydraulic oil is expensive.  The water will evaporate off if you use it in the field.  Now if it's just a small tractor that barely gets warmed up, that's a different story.  I just sent a sample in.  The tractor has 1,800 hrs on it.  The results said it was in excellent shape...  So I'm going another year.  Oil is 7 yrs old....  Change filters they keep it clean.
