As happy as I am calving has started, I am very glad they didn't start calving early as others have posted here. Based on the AHA gestation chart and my bull in date, theoretical start of calving was 3/29. Woke up this morning 3/30 and found this heifer was born overnight or early this morning.
This is this 35 month old cow's 2nd calf. She looks like she may be a good long time cow. She can have a calf on her own and breed back quickly. This calf is out of my retained bull.
