Subject: Re: No till corn question

Martinsville, Ohio
A row cleaner would really help in your situation. I prefer no coulter, others will disagree. I have used the Martin Till notill system with good success on acres like you propose.

I would go slow speed wise and watch every step as I go, the better condition the planter is in, like new condition or better will really help your progress. Anything less will lead to problems although I see many slop notill in and get pretty decent results!

If I were your neighbor, we would go to planting some notill corn until we were done or possibly couldn't stand the frustration anymore!

Double disk openers must be sharp and new.
