You are doing what all farmers should do- plant strips to learn about cover crops and then grab a shovel and observe their soil and the difference cover crops can make. Why do you think the snow stayed longer on the no cc part? Possibly because the corn stalks were not smashed down with a drill and more snow got caught, or some other reason??
