East Central SD | I guess my question is mostly in reference to the carbon lost from fire. Obviously the carbon is needed to maintain/build OM. In general it drives me crazy carbon is never valued when figuring residue removal. Somewhere I saw Iowa State valued OM at $680 per point. If we assume with notill we can build OM at 0.1% per year can I assume $68 was lost from the burning of residue. | |
