Subject: licensing and genetic swapping Pioneer and monsanto???

ND
Lashfarmer34 had some good questions below but he replied late in the thread so didn't get much attention.

Question: Pioneer will sell RR2 in 2014....... will these then be Monsanto genetics until they can get the RR2 gene into their own breeding program?

Question: What are the disease traits and corn defoliation patents? My guess is it's probably corn genetics for dekalb to get some goss's tolerance and the defoliation patents I think have to do with seed production and defoliating seed at a certain timing to increase vigor and decrease seed size. Don't quote me, just my best guess.

What do other know or speculate?????? Will Pioneer stack Xtend and Enlist beans in one offering?????
