I will oppose one statement to a tiny degree.

"We have no real leaders who are willing to sit the petulant children (citizens) down and explain that we are broke. We need real leadership that can have an adult conversation about where we are at and what needs to be done."

I would contend, and I think you will agree, that we do have a tiny few real leaders that have tried to tell the real story. And they have been and are ridiculed, marginalized and called "fringe" and "radical".

I don't have the quote I like so well right handy, but it basically said the ones that tell the public the truth will be hated and the ones that tell the public the lies they want to hear will be loved.
