Rivers, MB | We don't often agree canadianeh but I'm with you on this one. Our Canadian system sure is simpler than what I see south of us. It takes about 10 minutes to explain our crop insurance program. Not sure which is better. Being a fairly strong believer in free markets, I tend to gravitate to less government intervention/support, the better. And before any US farmer throws out the dairy/feather supply management thing, I'll say I agree with you. I don't think its fair, it distorts markets and has been a HUGE subsidy (on the backs of consumers) for those farmers that are involved in it. | |
