I don't know if this is the norm or not but a vast majority are paying cash for land and new paint. The majority of the guys in this area are at or near retirement with no land payments so I believe many of them have seven digit bank accounts. Like I said, I don't know if this is the norm or not but I believe those who enjoy debt will always be a slave to it.
It must be different here than there. Most of the land buyers here are much younger than that. A couple young tigers are begging grandpa for cash and getting every beginning farmer loan they can. I just know "here" there are alot of guys that were in dire straights not to long ago trading equipment so fast it would make your head spin. |
