I think the NH head is a great corn head. It does cut very well in all directions, much better than the Gehl it replaced. I looked at the dion and would like one, but not sure if it is worth it. The 8400 we pull it with dynos 270+. In haylage the throat/ head is the limiting factor. In corn silage it is the processor. I can fill a wagon with haylage quicker than with corn silage, but part of that is due to corn silage packing more in the wagon. I have disintegrated 2 lower front feed rolls, 1 each year we have owned it.
