Instead of tiny gauges stuffed in a skinny a piller that you have to toggle through how about lining them up across the top of the windshield.
Use a Heads Up Display on the lower center of the windshield for the light bar function. The "boxes" are too big to mount in the center and its a PITA to try to steer and turn in using one that is mounted off to the side.
What would you say to John Deere's tractor engineers?
