To me all the enjoyment will be gone out of farming if I dont even get to sit in the seat or be in the field, if I have to be behind a desk running a computer to farm, IM Done, if I wanted that I woulda gone and worked in the city behind a desk my whole life for a 9-5 job.
This is why many farm's fail. They do it for the "lifestyle" instead of running it like a business. I still believe you can get by right now if you want without getting into technology, but you are not going to last very long. if you would rather run a computer at a desk job than a computer on your farm, clearly you are farming for the old school "lifestyle" and not passionate about doing what it takes run a successful farming opertation.
