Wi | Id stay 3 rows with the lower power. You dont want yo be at the top end of their range if you dont like fixing. We ran 2 FP240s for a few years before finally going to a self propelled. We would get one new one every year due to wear. We ran an 8940 turned up yo 280hp and an mx255 with a chip. KPs would like to fly apart, other smaller parrs in the drivetrain as well then when thr curterhead would break we would trade them.
Make no mistake, they are the toughest pull type out there, we just ran ours very hard. We did 500acres of hay per crop atbthat time and the same in corn silage. | |
