John,I wholeheartedly agree w your thoughts.When I was a bit younger,I would get outbid on a parcel,or watch another guy put up a a shiny new g-barn,and get bitter w envy and jealousy. I just knew and hoped they would soon be tits-up in CH 7. I have learned, for my own general mental well-being,to take care of my own operation the best I can. Yep,it's competitive without a doubt. I have many friends who have shot the moon on land purchases and leases. And my leases go up accordingly.They are taking on alot of risk,and most of them know it. I do not wish them to fail. It does me no good,and I'm a selfish SOB. I want what's best for me. I won't rant on this any further.I know there are those who disagree w me,and I'm not sayin it's wrong. Just a different POV.
