Usually I use about 40-50 lbs of N, the same as if I grow wheat. Many of our soils also benefit from Phos, so I usually put down 15-20 lbs P with the seed in hopes of speeding maturity a bit. If the millet comes off early enough and I can get a little moisture, I like to go back to winter wheat after the proso.
