    Rivers, MB | Thud, when we started growing winter wht in the 80's, the wisdom was no N in fall, all in spring.  Now, it seems most winter wheat is getting some to all of its N while seeding.  The nice thing about putting some N with the seed or in fall is that in spring, there's no panic in getting the N on as soon as the snow disappears.  It gives you a bit of time to time the weather and your N application. |  |
