Little River, TX | If you pull hay samples you probably have P, K, Mg, & Ca using NIR. The wet analysis usually have more, but seldome report sulfur or boron.
If your P levels are in the 0.20% P range, you might want to add Phosphate,
If your P levels are above the 0.35% P range you probably do not Need Phosphate.
If your K levels are below 1.70% K range you might add some Potash.
If your K levels are above the 3.00% P range you probably do not Need Potash.
My customer base are only interested in Protein at best. So I request a plant analysis for the Hay Analysis and multiply the % N by 6.25 for the CP %.
Every cutting from each field is sampled and I average the results for each field. | |
