What is your labour situation like? What is your total manure handling type? We went alleyscraper 6yrs ago, just put new rubbers on them a couple weeks ago, rebuilt some tow bars, otherwise pretty much trouble free, using sawdust as bedding. Sure is nice chasing cows in a clean alley, but the one side runs 8x/day. Uses a .75hp electric motor, so cheap to run. takes about 45mins to run a 165' barn, both alleys. The only thing I wish we would have done different, is more research into a flush barn. Not sure if I would have went that way or not, but much easier to seperate sand out with lots of water present (we would be using sand if we had went that route, too much to keep it out of our cement lagoon how we are set up now).

Will try and get some pics up later today.

Glenn
