We had an 8100 act like that and they said injection pump too. Turned out it was the packing on the connection for the small prefilter, fuel line was sucking air sometimes. They are a wide flat oring on each side of the little filter. Hard to tell they are bad, it felt tight but when I took it apart the one was mostly gone.
