Weve had good luck hitting it with roundup then doing it again in a week or so before it gets real sick when we actually have cotton growing.

If you can get them 30 days ahead of cotton planting with round up and Latigo that worked really well for us last year on 2 fields that were covered up.

Round up and 2-4D in mid to late October before we get a freeze then leave them alone all winter will really thin them out. Obviously on stuff not currently in cotton.

The second 2 options have definetly worked the best for us. We used to have them bad all over but a year or two of roundup and 2-4D or Latigo and we have pretty much wiped them out.
