| Have a heifer that calved and can't get up.
She calved a week ago on her own. Got up right away and licked the calf. Couple hours after she was wobbly to stand a bit. 6 hours after she couldn't stand so we called vet. Vet gave her some calcium as we figured milk fever. Gave her calcium 3 different times. (Blood test did show her calcium was low) gave up on giving her calcium.
Heifer seems to be lively (she eats and drinks) yesterday noticed her hips and back ends swelling now. When she tries to stand it seems her one leg is giving her trouble almost like its a pinched nerve.
Thoughts?? Broken pelvis? Pinched nerve? | |
