The last thing on earth I would ever get is a Border Collie.  Hyperactive and run around like a chicken with it's head cut off.   Neighbor had several of them, and all were so hyper they were worthless.   One or two he shot, and one got run over. 

We've had German Shepherds over the years that were great with the cattle.  Right now, we've got a Great Pyrennes, but they make good guard dogs, not good cattle dogs.
