New Mexico | ends meat inspection at plants starting the 27th.
ho hmmm it's just another government sudsidy anyway.
plants pay hourly for government meat grading service, they might just as well pay their own inspection too.
most big plants are on "speed" inspection which is basically "self" inspection anyway.
btw, the farm bill of 2008 specifically legislated that State Inspections suffice thee same as Federal for ALL purposes.
( granted fsis has in fact acted thee exact opposite of the law....hmmmm might have something to do with self service to federal jobs perhaps )
No reason a plant cannot just inspect their own and sell decent safe products they stand behind anyway.
They screw up...blast it all over the media and no one will buy from em again.
