I've always had good luck with sidedressing when the corn is about 1 foot tall. I modified an old planter with dry fertilizer boxes so I could put down 200lbs 45-0-0. I took an old cyclo planter and removed everything so that all I have left is a toolbar with wheels and dry fertilizer boxes. It takes more time but it's well worth it for me.
Would it be worth it????
